Cory achieves perfect score in GRESB sustainability benchmark

Cory has achieved a 5-star rating from the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) for the sixth consecutive year, scoring 100 out of 100 in the Infrastructure Assessment.

Cory was ranked first in the waste treatment sector, receiving full marks in the management category, which scores strategy, risk management and stakeholder engagement, as well as the performance category, which scores 12 aspects including health and safety, energy use and water use.

GRESB is the global standard for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) transparency and measurable performance. Aligned with international frameworks such as the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it provides a benchmark for real asset sustainability assessment, providing the global financial community with a trusted tool to both measure and elevate performance.

Dougie Sutherland, CEO of Cory, said: “I am delighted that we have been recognised for our leadership in sustainability for the sixth year in a row. Across the business, we have continued to review how we operate to ensure every part of our work supports a low-carbon future, and earning another GRESB 5-star rating reflects the progress we have made. With thanks to our people, we are taking meaningful strides toward decarbonising both our business and our communities.”

Sebastien Roussotte, CEO of GRESB, said: “GRESB Sector Leaders exemplify success in action. They set the pace for the industry, translating strong governance and operational excellence into real-world performance and long-term value. We are proud to recognize this year’s GRESB Sector Leaders. Their achievements signal the success of our members in setting higher standards, improving data quality, and strengthening investor confidence across portfolios.”
